Criteria
Updates extend or update previously published articles and are a rapid and efficient way to present changes to previous work while avoiding unwarranted duplication in the literature. For proposed or ongoing research, updates might include changes to the design or methods that are important to publish; for previously completed research updates might present new data or new conclusions in light of new data, which do not warrant publication of a new full-length article. Updates are not appropriate for corrections/errata. Authors must clearly acknowledge and reference any previously-published work they are updating.
